Grayson College Wins Back-And-Forth Affair Against North Central Texas College


Grayson College and North Central Texas College played a taut affair on Wednesday, but Grayson College eventually prevailed 5-2 after taking the lead for good in the sixth inning. The game was tied at two with Grayson College batting in the bottom of the sixth when Anthony Bernardez doubled off of G Hofstad, driving in one run.

Grayson College captured the lead in the second inning. With two outs in the second inning Braydon Webb drove in one run when he homered.

Tyler Ivey earned the win for Grayson College. He threw six innings, allowing two runs, five hits, and striking out 12. Taylor Floyd recorded the last three outs to earn the save for Grayson College. G Hofstad took the loss for North Central Texas College. He pitched six innings, allowing five runs, nine hits, striking out four, and walking zero.

Grayson College collected nine hits. Andrew Miller and Webb each collected multiple hits for Grayson College. Webb and Miller each collected two hits to lead Grayson College.
